Advertising

As I go about the path of researching advertising, I realize that even though we think we know all that there is to know about the art of gaining recognition for the products or services that you sell, there is much more to the process that few people master. Of course, there are courses and degrees that one may take in the advertising field, but just as you cannot teach someone the art of advertising by sitting in a classroom and touting statistics, you cannot learn about advertising techniques and strategies first hand, unless you actually are very observant in your every day life. Advertising is a very intuitive process, and is a thinking persons game, to be sure. Those that are able to tap that process deep within the mind first, will come out the other side more knowledgeable and determined about any business being promoted.

As with any indepth research analysis that I conduct, I dig deep into Alexa.com as this is where many excellent resources and authority sites are listed. All of these can be viewed, but more importantly, can be learned from as to how they got to those esteemed positions, and more importantly, how they maintain that standard.

I came across one that peaked my interest somewhat, Adage.com. With a vital Alexa.com rank of 3,475, this was to be the target of my research and testing for the advertising campaign that I am actively pursuing. Their meta reads: Ad Age is the leading global source of news, intelligence and conversation for marketing and media communities. All in all, a great site for research and testing, and to expand my knowledge even further. I did register to receive their emails concerning advertising, and also opted into to their Twitter account. This way, I can keep updated with anything new and interesting in the world of advertising.

Since my being the Marketing Director for Veretekk, it is imperative to keep sharp and educated in all processes of marketing, advertising and Internet marketing,. I will pursue the necessary courses of action to keep cutting edge in my chosen profession. This also helps me to tap into valuable resources for writing content and creating videos and podcasts as well. There is a wealth of information to be found on the Internet, and I never run short of good information to share.
